  • JEMIMA SIMPSON

    DIRECTOR

    EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

    Jemima has worked in early childhood education for 18 years and is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. She values strong relationships with children and families, believing these connections enable the highest quality care and education. Jemima teaches from each child’s interests and abilities, listening to their voices and providing resources that extend their learning through play. As a full-time working mum herself, she understands the importance of a nurturing “home away from home,” where children feel safe, loved, and cared for every day at Teddy Bear Corner. 

  • NATHALIA BEGUE

    CENTRE MANAGER

    DIPLOMA QUALIFIED EDUCATOR

    Nathalia is the Centre Manager at Teddy Bear Corner Childcare Centre, bringing 8 years of dedicated experience in Early Childhood Education. She completed her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2017 and has worked with various age groups throughout her career. Having held roles as an Assistant Educator, Qualified Educator, Room Leader, and Assistant Manager at Teddy Bear Corner, Nathalia is passionate about building strong connections and relationships with both children and their families. She believes every child is unique and resilient, and values the environment as the third teacher. Her commitment to quality education and care shines through in every interaction.

  • JORDIE BARRETT BROWN

    EDUCATIONAL LEADER

    DIPLOMA QUALIFIED EDUCATOR

    Jordie has over 18 years of experience in early childhood education and holds both a Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. She has worked as an assistant, lead educator, centre manager, and trainer of future educators. At Teddy Bear Corner, where she has been for five years, Jordie is our Educational Leader and shares room leader responsibilities in the Nursery. Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and her own experiences as a mother, she creates engaging, play-based programs that support every child’s strengths, interests, and cultural background.

  • MARIA GORETTI MARQUES

    OSHC LEADER

    DIPLOMA QUALIFIED EDUCATOR

    Maria has many years of experience working in both Childcare and Outside School Hours Care, and holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. She brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to her role at OSHC Club Yangebup. Maria is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with children and families, and enjoys creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment where children feel supported to learn, grow, and express themselves.

  • MARIAH STRINGER

    EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER

    Mariah has been an educator at Teddy Bear Corner for 12 years. She completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education in 2015 and is currently studying at Curtin University to become an Early Childhood Teacher. Mariah is passionate about building meaningful relationships with children and families and creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued. She believes all children are capable learners who thrive through play, imagination, and exploration, and is dedicated to fostering their independence, confidence, and sense of belonging.
